The Edit #1

Hello lovelies,

How are we all doing ? Exhausted yet of those summer pieces that once were snow-white and now have been beaten  by the washing machine to resemble a color that no woman should ever dare to don .If yes then welcome to the club because it seems that those pretty picture perfect summer pieces now haunt you every time you open the scary wardrobe.Scary you ask , yes mine looks more like a house of horrors than the inside of the Vogue Costume Closet ! I for one am quitting summer 2017.Prepare to banish  the make up that resides melted into my cleavage by the end of each horrifically humid  day , the sweaty not dewy  skin and the sticky sleep deprived nights. Can you tell I am waiting for Autumn to embrace and engulf my life in a leaves falling , scarf  wearing and pumpkin spice aroma of the turn in the season.Impatience is not even the word friends. With this excitement building as if I was a child waiting for Christmas to come , I have decided to make a little fall fashion feature. Mainly influenced by the beauties I have stumbled across throughout my browsing and in part to encourage you to all go out and spend money you may not think you have on the pieces you cannot be without for AW17 .

So this week we are going to feast our beady peepers on the offerings of  our high street hero H&M.Our faithful friend has excelled itself and I dare anyone to walk into their flagship store and not come out without at least one shopping bag in their midst.I picked a few pieces and threw them in a little lookie book for all to lust after.

I actually saw this skirt on the Irish blogger Louise Cooney on her Instagram and it was stunning on her. I would wear this now with a bare leg , some white converse and a bomber jacket over a simple white t-shirt or in winter with thick black tights , ankle boots and a knit jumper. The leather leggings and the cami are a complete outfit just missing a furry gilet or leather jacket in a bright colour like those we have seen in Zara throw over this dolly dottiness.

red final

I love this dress and it is a good copy of the Self Portrait style that has been seen on many a lady at many a wedding , grad and any other dressy occasion that calls for lace and lippy. Instead of wearing this just for those formal times, why not channel your inner street style and mix it up with this military jacket for a more paired down alternative.Think your inner Olivia Palermo and team with a cherry red manicure, accessorize with gold stacked rings and use this scarf as a headband to make it still look polished and poised ala Blair Waldorf!

Up Town Girls

This is one for all the mamas who profit dollars ( name that song reference!) .Love this gingham and ruffle dress which would be office appropriate with a pair of tan patent  court shoe and this Mulberry inspired jacket is a silky spicy addition to those lack luster power suits of  the 1980’s.

And of course it wouldn’t be a blog post without a few toppings thrown in on top in the form of accessories.Love these faux acetate glasses and this snugly beige wool mix scarf thrown over a denim jacket would be both  functional and fashionable! Also can we just identify the similarity between this steal of a bag which is very very similar to the Chloe Faye  bag and at 79 euros I am not going to say no.
